Digital Marketing Communications Management (DMCM) coursework

Digital marketing as a coursework (a draft of blog post for social magnet)

Digital marketing is a rapidly growing phenomenon, and there is a clear demand for graduates with these skills.
I was lucky enough to choose this subject as my final year elective. This decision has resulted in a rather challenging assignment about which I am going to talk in this blog post.

As part of the assessment my team (we consider ourselves to be a digital marketing agency) had to produce a digital marketing communications management (dmcm)  pitch for a fictional or real-world organisation.
For our project, we have chosen to set up a consumer review site, for new and existing visitors to one particular area of Manchester- Spinningfields.

As with any marketing campaign the coursework consisted of campaign planning, implementation, and evaluation. But, obviously everything was adapted into the digital environment.

We all had great ideas about how to promote our page via paid marketing, however in the end we decided that due to the nature of our business it would be inappropriate to use paid advertising. In the end our work consisted mostly of blogging, content optimisation, as well as use of social media tools.
The social media tools were my favourite aspect of this coursework, as I already had some experience gained through my personal interest as well as through the work placement and (delineo/ social magnet), where I worked on a facebook campaign for one of the clients.
